ACUMA Incorporated and AACA

The Australasian Association of Campus Activities

AACA logo and linkThe Australasian Association of Campus Activities coordinates and runs social, cultural and recreational events on University and TAFE campuses across Australia.

AACA provides support and promotional materials for coordinating and providing student events on member campuses, and also coordinates national sponsorship on behalf of AACA member organisations.

ACUMA and AACA, along with Australian University Sport and the Tertiary Access Group, coordinate their annual conferences and events, where possible, to coincide for the benefit of a unified Australian higher education campus services industry.

AACA administers four flagship competitions on the national stage, and also provides a yearly conference and networking event. AACA coordinates four flagship national student events, detailed below.

National Campus Band Competition

Since 1990, AACA's NCBC has profiled the best and brightest of Australian campus music talent, with many participants going on to forge successful careers in the music industry, both in Australia and internationally.

National Campus Art Prize

Since 1984, the NCAP (formerly the National Tertiary Art Prize) has been the pre-eminent student arts competition in Australia, providing a platform for the exposure of the best in Australian student artwork.

To appreciate the high standard of the student works showcased by the NCAP, view a slideshow of the 2009 National Finalists and the 2009 entries.

National Campus Film Fest

Formerly known as the U Film Fest, the National Campus Film Fest is the premier event of its kind in Australia, showcasing the creativity and skills of Australian students in the field of short film.

National Campus DJ Competition

The NCDJ Competition is the premier student dj competition in Australia, and provides an opportunity, from campus-based heats through to national finals, for student djs to demonstrate their abilities.
