This privacy statement
applies specifically to the Web service and member electronic communications
facilities of ACUMA and ACUMA Buying.
The facilities contain
public areas that may be viewed from any Internet connected PC. Other areas are
restricted to access by members of ACUMA & ACUMA Buying. It is important to
ACUMA and ACUMA Buying that their members and partners retain their privacy
when they take advantage of all that the organisation and its services have to offer.
Your privacy is important
to us. ACUMA and ACUMA Buying are committed to protecting your personal
information by complying with the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) as set out
in the Federal Privacy Act.
ACUMA and ACUMA Buying
collect personal information from you to enable us to communicate with you by
e-mail or by text message, to improve our web service and to personalise our
service to you. For example, we may provide you with newsletters, activity
information, pointers, advice, recommendations or advertisements for goods or
services that we think will interest you, according to the preferences you have
determined. We will also use the information for our own internal membership
administration and analysis.
While you are not obligated
to provide us with the information requested, not supplying the information may
affect the level of service and benefits available to you.

you give us in registering your membership to ACUMA and ACUMA Buying will be

activity related to the purpose for which your information was originally

We will not however
disclose, sell, rent or otherwise exchange any information personal to you to

to enforce the terms and conditions of use of our website, to protect and
defend the rights and interests or property of ACUMA and ACUMA Buying, or in
exceptional circumstances to prevent a threat to life or health.
ACUMA and ACUMA Buying are
committed to ensuring that any personal information held about you is accurate,
complete and up-to-date. If any of the information you have given us changes at
any time, you can directly change this record yourself by clicking the 'my
profile' button in the top right box on your page, after you are logged in. You
can set your own preferences for information receipt and can change these at
any time.
ACUMA and ACUMA Buying will
not store or transfer your personal data to countries outside Australia.

about you to us on our web service or in any other way, you consent to the use
